Orangutan Tour 3 days / 2 nights

Day 1.  AIRPORT-Kumai-Tanjung Puting

Upon arrival in Pangkalan Bun or Iskandar airport, you will be greeted by www.orangutandays.com representative and proceed by coach to Kumai Harbour. You will encounter the amazing wildlife of Kalimantan, riverfront life in this busy port-town, including the incredible giant wooden shipyard. From Kumai Harbor, you will cruise by Klotok to start your adventure to Tanjung Puting National Park. While in the reserve you will have the opportunity to hike into the jungle and encounter firsthand some of the varied and thriving flora and fauna. The highlight of these excursions is seeing the playful proboscis monkeys bounding through the tree. These large monkeys are fpund only in isolated areas of borneo, their pendulous noses give them a comic appearance. At dusk, our Klotok stop and parking on the river side and so close to nature where you can hear the jungle music. Sleep on boat.

Note :
The boat is a traditional wooden river boat about 15m by 2,5m with roof upper deck where you can see the rain forest. The guide’s team includes the boatmen, cook and tourist guide. On the boat, we have simple mattres, pillow, mosquito net, meals, mineral water, kichten and toilet

Day 2. Tanjung Puting-Pondok Tanggui-Camp Leakey-Nipa Area

After breakfast, proceed to two sites at Tanjung Puting National Park, that conduct supplemental feeding for orangutans, Pondok Tanggui and the well-known Camp Leakey. Today program is a full day of exploration and encounters with Borneo famous wildlife. You could maximize opportunities for viewing wildlife and taking advantage of any special sightings or occurences.
In addition to seeing orangutan at the morning feeding, we should see large communities of the rare proboscis monkeys. We will then continue on to Camp Leakey for a forest walk. On arrival at Camp Leakey's river pier, we are leikely to be greeted by some of the resident orangutans. Enjoy a tour of the camp and we will stay to observe the afternoon feeding of the orangutans. After visiting Camp Leakey, we are boating down slowly to Nipa Palm Area (house of Fireflies) and enjoy the amazing creatures. Overnight on Klotok surrounded by Fireflies (subject to weather conditions).

Day 3. Nipa Area-Kumai-Pangkalan Bun Airport

After breakfast, boating to Kumai Harbor, then transfer by car to Pangkalan Bun airport  for your next destination. Tour end.

If you have more time we can make City Tour or stay longer in Tanjung Puting National Park (depend on your flight shcedule)
